Caphouse to Calder Grove- Paperback

The local mineral line ran from Caphouse to Calder Grove, not only did it help the mine owners reach new markets for the coal and avoid hefty tolls, it became a lifeline for the local communities creating a transport system for a variety of commodities. This book goes further than a story about a railway but also looks at the importance of people, who laboured in frequently dangerous conditions to make sure that the line kept working and wages kept coming.
