Miners’ Gala returns for another year of family fun at the National Coal Mining Museum for England
The annual Miners’ Gala will take place at the National Coal Mining Museum for England on 28 June 2015, hosting a day packed with traditional family fun and entertainment.
This summer will see another spectacular programme of activities throughout the day with live music by Wakefield Music Services, Ridings FM and award-winning comedy Sparkies by Barnsley’s Lamproom Theatre.
Families will be able to spend the day getting active with Get cycling! and wheelchair rugbyor put their creative skills to the test with craft competitions and rag rugging. There will also be some more adventurous activities to keep the kids entertained including bouncy castles, children’s rides, coconut shys and much more.
In addition to a fantastic line-up of rides and activities, there will also be a delicious selection of food available from the Asparagus Green cafe alongside ice creams, crepes and a hog roast.

As always, the museum offers free parking and admission, however, visitors can purchase the Miners’ Gala programme for £2 which includes entry to the raffle and a chance to win some great prizes!
