Here at National Coal Mining Museum for England we are looking for Nature Volunteers to help support our outdoor experiences. There’s lots to get involved with from tree planting to maintenance and engaging with visitors, there’s something for everyone.

What might you be doing as a nature volunteer?

  • Sapling planting and Balsam clearing
  • Keeping our bird hides in good order
  • Supporting with community group visits to the nature trail
  • Hands on opportunities
  • Supporting with engaging visitors and activities on the trail
  • Litter picking
  • Creating and maintaining bird feeders and bird nesting boxes

For this role you will need suitable and sturdy footwear. All other equipment will be provided.
