The National Coal Mining Museum for England receives the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence 2015.
The National Coal Mining Museum for England celebrates its latest achievement after being awarded the 2015 Certificate of Excellence by TripAdvisor.
The certificate is a direct result of consistently great reviews from TripAdvisor travellers. The museum has seen a whole host of changes over the past 12 months including the cafe refurbishment which is now run by Asparagus Green Catering and the launch of many new activities such as Mini Miner Mondays.
The award is given to outstanding hospitality businesses that have received praise and recognition in TripAdvisor reviews, making the achievement even more humbling for the museum.
Katharine Morley, Commercial & HR Manager at the museum comments,
“We are all delighted to be awarded the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence and the fact that this is based on customer reviews is fantastic. One of the biggest factors in the success of the museum is the hard work and commitment from the staff here who work extremely hard to ensure our visitors get the most out of their trip; a big thank you to all of those involved for making it the wonderful attraction that it is.”
Come along and experience it for yourself! Get kitted out and head 140m underground to discover life as a miner followed by a stroll around the picturesque nature trail. After a day exploring the museum’s galleries, finish off with a picnic or trip to the Asparagus Green cafe where you can enjoy delicious hot and cold food daily.
