A 1966 Aerograph foot-operated compressed-air paint spray system manufactured by DeVilbiss and used in the colouring of mine plans.
This equipment was used by the donor throughout his career working for NCB/British Coal/UK Coal/Hargreaves . He used it regularly for hand speckling mine plans up to the point when computer aided design came in, but continued to need to use it from time to time when updating large format pre-digital plans.
