Join a creative volunteer group to make textile items inspired by mining heritage! Textile crafts have long been part of mining communities, where skills like knitting and sewing were used to support families and also to express creativity and solidarity. You’ll help create small shop items, collaborative artworks, and pieces connected to exhibitions, events, and commemorative programming like Remembrance Day.

What you’ll do:

· Make small textile items for donations in the museum shop

· Contribute to collaborative and site-wide textile artworks

· Respond to museum programming and events

· Work with other volunteers in a friendly, supportive group

Skills & experience:

· Crochet, knitting, sewing, felting, or general crafting

· Enthusiasm and creativity matter most

Time commitment: weekly sessions, day to be decided.
