Let them take you on a journey above the surface and behind-the-scenes of Caphouse Colliery, including special places never normally seen by visitors.

Highlights include the Pithead Baths, a sneaky peek down our drift mine, the chance to discover more about our might Pit Wheel, and into the Lamp Room where you will get the chance to handle a traditional miners’ lamp.

Please meet at the Lamp Room, five minutes before the start of your allocated tour time.

We recommend pre-booking your tour online to avoid disappointment, as we cannot guarantee any on-the-day spaces.
