London Midland and Scottish (LMS) Railway Company poster containing an illustration by the artist Norman Wilkinson R.I. Issued in early 1935, the image shows a general surface view of an unknown Midlands colliery which has a double headgear. A group of miners are shown crossing the pit yard, presumably at the end of their shift. Two LMS coal wagons can be seen to the right of the picture. The poster was printed by McCorquodale & Co. Ltd London and Glasgow.
