Light Up Festival

Join us for performances, dazzling lights, music and a spectacular projection, created by children and young people from across the district. Make your own lantern and join in with the unmissable community lantern parade. 

Enjoy pop-up activities, getting crafty with our lantern making workshops, brass band and fire artist performances, plus plenty of festive treats!

Throughout the day’s festivities, you’ll be able to enjoy plenty of tasty food and drink, and our Shop will also be stocked with plenty of Christmas gift ideas and treats for all ages.

Don’t forget that Santa returns to Caphouse for his incredible festive experience Santa’s Magic Workshop with lucky visitors.

Please note that the Museum car park will close once we reach our parking capacity, please arrive early to avoid disappointment. For our visitors safety, no vehicles can leave site while the lantern parade is taking place.
