In 1926, over 1.5 million workers stood with miners fighting pay cuts and longer hours. This exhibition uncovers the courage, hardship and solidarity of the General Strike and Miners’ Lockout, showing how families, women and whole communities pulled together. Though the struggle ended in defeat, its impact endures. Researched and curated by NCMME volunteers Eddie Haigh and Josh Elliott.
