Wacky Wednesday Science Special

Learn all about hot and cold through stories, nursery rhymes, sensory experiments and crafts!

Under 5s will learn about how heat was used in mining by exploring how coal heated our buildings and factories. They’ll also try their hand at experiments and crafts to discover the differences between hot and cold.

Please note this session will take place at the Blacksmiths Workshop, Hope Pit. A member of the team will meet you at the gate on arrival and direct you to the overflow car park at Hope Pit, located next to the Blacksmiths Workshop.

Wacky Wednesday is exclusively for children under 5 years only. Booking is essential to guarantee your child’s place. Adults do not need to pre-book their place. Please note all children must be accompanied by a maximum of two adults.
