Following further negotiations with UNISON,industrial action, largely affecting our Underground Tours, is confirmed to take place until Sunday 12 October. Although Underground Tours will be unavailable during this period, theMuseum Remains Open, and continues to share the important history of coal mining with our visitors. This four pillar deflector flame-safety lamp was made by the firm of Edward Richardson. E. Richardson was a manufacturer based on Raventhorpe, Dewsbury, West Yorkshire and were one of several firms who produced deflector lamps which were effectively Clanny lamps with an added bonnet.
