Adults and Communities
The Museum does a great deal of work with adult and community groups, and we are always happy to meet new groups who would like to get involved.
Talks, lectures and presentations
Museum staff regularly come out to give talks and presentations to to a variety of adult and community groups. Museum curators, librarians, and directors all offer something different. We are always happy to look at the needs of your group to see what we can do.
There is a charge for talks from Museum staff, and off-site bookings will only be taken for venues within a 30-mile radius of the Museum.
The Museum has a series of themed reminiscence boxes that are available for groups or organisations to borrow for free. Boxes are available for loans of up to one month at a time, and the borrower is responsible for collecting and returning the boxes.
Boxes are available on the following themes:
- Home Life
- an Evening Out
Boxes contain a mixture of historic objects, images, books, music recordings, scent boxes and background information. To book a box, please contact the education team on 01924 848806 or by email at email@example.com.
Projects and exhibitions
Museum staff often work with individuals and groups on a variety of projects and exhibitions. If you feel that your group has something to offer, or if you would like to know more about the ways that others have been involved, get in touch.
