We are incredibly grateful to the organisations that have supported the work of the Museum over the years. We are proud to currently work with the companies below to create a lasting legacy for the coal mining communities of England.
We would like to say a big thank you to Kingston Unity for their generous sponsorship of our Art Cart. The Art Cart is a family-friendly art resource that is used to support and promote creativity and learning for Families, children and school groups. Kingston Unity's support means that everyone who visits us and wants to get creative can do so!
Kingston Unity are also sponsoring a school visit to the Museum later this year, and we can't wait to welcome the students and teachers and help them discover all about coal mining, cameraderie and community.
Kingston Unity are a well established Friendly Society and they have been helping their members to secure their financial future since 1840. We are really looking forward to working in partnership with them to keep coal mining memories alive.
Keepmoat Homes Yorkshire are regenerating former colliery sites in West Yorkshire to create thriving sustainable communities. They have generously donated five glass checks to the Miners' Memorial Garden sculpture to celebrate these projects and kindly sponsored the official opening and first commemorative event in November 2015.
We are looking forward to deepening our partnership with Keepmoat Homes Yorkshire in the future to continue to look after England's coal mining heritage together.
