We are so grateful to all who nominated us in the Telegraph Kids in Museums Family Friendly Museum Awards 2015 and are thrilled to have been long listed!
We have been whittled down from 800 nominations to the 20 strong long list in the biggest museum award in Britain and the only one judged by families.
We worked hard on our unique museum nomination, you can view the behind the scenes video on YouTube.
We really strive hard to ensure we have something to offer families of all ages, abilities and from all backgrounds and it's great to know you appreciate all that we offer!
We have a wealth of experiences to offer families, whether that be parents and their children or carers, guardians, grandparents, aunties, uncles or friends!
Boasting a 45 acre accessible site, brand new Asparagus Green Catering café, 140m underground tour, nature trail, library, under 5s play area, play ground and endless galleries to explore – we offer a great day out, all absolutely FREE.
We also offer extra activities such as crafting and trails in school holidays and our fabulous Wacky Wednesday's for under 5s for free crafting, singing, story telling and exploring every Wednesday during term time.
Once again a huge thank you to all who nominated us and fingers crossed for the short list in July!
