Volunteering at the Museum enjoyed a successful year in 2015.Celebrate these achievements by reading our regular volunteering blog. Discover what was happening this time last year whilst looking forward each month to finding out all the news about volunteering in 2016. Perhaps you will be inspired to become one of our valued volunteers!

This month in 2015

In January last year we held a special Wacky Wednesday event to celebrate National Story Telling Week. Fun activities, stories and craft were provided by our wonderful Wacky Wednesday volunteer team. It was all smiles from toddlers, carers and volunteers!

This month in 2016

We’re recruiting! We’re expanding our volunteer team, to support a number of areas in the Museum. Join the team and help visitors to explore the Museum and support local mining heritage; see our available roles and remember to follow us on social media to keep up to date!
