This month in 2015
This time last year the Wacky Wednesday team were feverously preparing for the Christmas Wacky Wednesday Fun day when over 120 adults and their under 5s descended on the Museum for a morning or afternoon of songs, rhymes, crafts and a performance by the favoured Hey Diddles.
This month in 2016
This year the Wacky Wednesday team, enhanced with willing helpers from the Visitor Experience team have already held this year's Wacky Wednesday fun day. So all that remains is to enjoy the spirit of the season amongst fellow volunteers and staff.
The industrial conservation team enjoyed a pub lunch with Mark, the Curator of Industry. The curator of art and photography organised some special trips underground for her volunteers. A large cohort of the volunteer team enjoyed a special Christmas lunch at the Museum, served by members of staff including the Museum Director! And much was made and celebrated of all the volunteers’ achievements over the year.
The New Year promises to be just as interesting and innovative as our volunteer team continues to expand, roles become more diverse and the volunteer team becomes a more integral part of the Museum’s success.
