Pit Pony Appeal

At the National Coal Mining Museum for England, our dedicated horsekeepers look after our pit ponies and Shire horse and ensure they are happy and contented. It costs us almost £2,000 to care for each of our horses every year and ensure their retirement is a happy and carefree one.

If you would like to help us to care for Colonel, Patch and Robbie, why not make a donation to the Museum’s Pit Pony Appeal? Donations can be sent to: The Pit Pony Appeal, National Coal Mining Museum for England Trust Ltd, FREEPOST NEA11620, Caphouse Colliery, New Road, Overton, Wakefield WF4 4RH. Please make cheques payable to the National Coal Mining Museum for England.
