A Unique Venue

Do you want something different for your conference or event? Then the dedicated conference and events centre at the National Coal Mining Museum for England can offer you the latest equipment and facilities, and that little something different.

All delegates using our conference facilities have the chance to travel 140 metres underground into our mine to experience what life was like for miners, from Victorian times through to the modern day.

'I just wanted to drop you a note to say, thank you very much for making our event last week perfect, we had a really good day . . . We found the venue itself unique, with friendly and very helpful staff. The support and organisation from you was second to none'
The Steel Construction Institute

'Just a quick line to thank you for an excellent visit last Wednesday evening for our colleagues - they were most impressed with the tour and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. We really appreciate your team's efforts to accommodate our requirements despite the challenges we presented as people arrived later than anticipated due to late flights, etc. Thank you once again.'
